The B.E.S.T. and S.U.N. programs had a fantastic week. First they went to Big Boy together for lunch, paid their own bills and tipped the waitstaff. Then we made English muffins and bagels for breakfast today and finally Mr. Vallus' class took a break from final exam review to have some fun with our group. We are so blessed ❤️ #wearelamphere

We had a fun week!! We read a story about Fleet Week in New York. Our craft was creating and testing a floatable sailboat. We made home made salsa and spent time with the chicks in the courtyard❤️ We are going to miss them when they leave us. #wearelamphere

The B.E.S.T and S.U.N. programs visited The Henry Ford Museum today. We saw a Civil Rights display which included the bus where Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat. A walk through time and looking through the many older model cars. So much fun! #wearelamphere

Today has been a busy day in the B.E.S.T. and S.U.N. programs. Our chicks are getting bigger and need more care with each passing day. We also enjoyed fun Friday: We made brownie batter dip as a sweet treat and then celebrated National Library Week by making bookmarks. #wearelamphere

Inclusion Week culminated with the Polar dunk!!! Mr. Thomas, Mr. Kobus and Mrs. Crouch were great sports allowing us to take aim. We also played a game called Rock, Paper, Scissors, Beads.... where kids played this old school game for the chance to win the most beads by the end of the day. A special thank you to the ALC (Athletic Leadership Council) and NHS students for helping us this week ❤️❤️❤️ We are the inclusion revolution..... #wearelamphere

Tuesday we played Bingo in the cafeteria
Wednesday we frosted cookies
Thursday we had a football throwing contest.
Tomorrow is the exciting Polar Dunk!
