May 1, 2018 – It’s College Signing Day and we’re celebrating the Class of 2018 at Lamphere High School.

"You're off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So...get on your way!" This quote from Dr. Seuss was perfect as 100% of Lamphere High School's graduating seniors are on their way to a postsecondary education. “We’re thrilled to announce that 100% of our graduating seniors have been accepted to a two-year school, four-year University, trade school or enlisted in the Military,” said Marjorie Alexander, Lamphere High School Counselor. “It’s a big day for us at Lamphere High School, celebrating our students on their choices and willingness to take this pledge to continue their education lets them know we believe in them and also inspires underclassmen to follow the example set by the senior class.”

College Signing Day is the day high school seniors nationwide declare what they want to do with their future and where/how they will continue their education. “We work with students throughout their high school career to prepare them for the transition to postsecondary education,” said Mark Stephenson, LHS Counselor. “College application workshops with students, college visits, financial aid workshops for parents and presentation of our ACCEPTED t-shirts are a few ways we hope to inspire and help students achieve.”

Students gathered to sign pennants, have photos taken in front of our banner, and hear a few words of congratulation and encouragement from Alexander and Stephenson before gathering for a large group photo. Please join us in congratulating the Class of 2018 on their commitment.
